Heartbreak, Breakups and Relationship Grief
The relationship is over, but your feelings might not have received the memo.
Breakups can be devastating. Brutal, even. Whether you're grieving the end of a long-term relationship, trying to make sense of a situationship, or struggling to let go of someone you know isn't right for you, heartbreak has a way of bringing up more than we expect.
Â
Maybe you're replaying conversations, obsessing over what went wrong, or wondering why you keep finding yourself in the same kinds of relationships. Maybe you miss someone who hurt you. Or maybe you're grieving a future that never happened.
Â
I work from an attachment-based, relational lens, which means I'm interested in not just who we love, but how we love, and why.
Our earliest relationships help shape what we come to expect from intimacy, connection, and rejection. Sometimes we find ourselves drawn to familiar dynamics, even when they leave us feeling hurt, anxious, or unseen. And sometimes the loss of a relationship brings up feelings that seem bigger than the relationship itself.
Â
I don't believe these patterns mean something is wrong with you. I'm more interested in understanding how they developed, what purpose they may have served, and whether they're still working for you.
Â
You don't need another person telling you to just move on.
Â
In our work together, we'll make space for the grief, anger, longing, relief, and all the contradictory feelings that can come with heartbreak. We'll explore your attachment patterns, the stories you tell yourself about love and your own worth, and what this relationship might reveal about your needs and desires.
Â
I'm not here to convince you that you're better off without someone or rush you toward closure. I'm here to help you make sense of your experience, develop a more compassionate understanding of yourself, and begin making choices in relationships that feel more intentional and authentic to you.
Â
You can miss someone and still choose something different for yourself.
